You Are….

Welcome dear friend,

Today, I am writing to the girl who feels:

Lost

Rejected

Lonely

Broken

Not enough

I am here to tell you that I’ve been there. Maybe I haven’t experienced the same pain as you or you haven’t experienced the same pain as me; but I want to share with you a truth that is meant for us all.

WE MATTER

YOU MATTER

I MATTER

You, my sweet friend, were placed on this earth, at this time, for a specific purpose. A purpose that was created for you by the ultimate Creator, our Father.

Did you know that when Jesus Christ was dying on the cross, He was full of joy?

This past Sunday, our worship pastor shared this with our congregation through Hebrews 12:2c-d (TPT)

“His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation,”

Read that again - “His heart focused on the JOY of knowing that you would be HIS”

He knew every sin in your life before you were born and yet He still felt joy. No matter what sins you have been living in (past, present, future), He was full of joy knowing that He died to save you, even before you walked this earth! Joy in giving you the opportunity to not just spend eternity with Him but to be a part of God’s plan to bring Heaven to earth!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

Now, do you find yourself asking, “Why would He want to save me? I’ve made so many mistakes. How am I worthy of His love?”

Let me tell you a secret;

we aren’t worthy of His love, but by His grace we can receive it!

Can I share another secret? Jesus didn’t die for you as you are now; He died for you as He sees you! He sees His Father’s perfect creations and is filled with love and joy. He died for who you are CALLED to be!

In The Passion Translation footnotes for this verse, it says:

Jesus “desires you to the point of laying down His life and being with God for all eternity to be with you. He pursued you, not seeing your weakness and failures but what you will be. This was the joy that prompted him to become a man.”

WOW!

Did your heart start pounding while reading that? Or tears fill your eyes? Or maybe you felt His love wrap around you and just hold you?

He sees the true you, the one that God created you as, the one who is going to change the world, the precious daughter that belongs to the Almighty King! And there is no better identity than being His beloved.

So when the enemy highlights the words lost, alone, rejected, broken in your life, remind yourself that these are lies. Do not let them take root in your life!

Instead, I want you to declare:

I am loved abundantly.  (1 John 4:9-10, Psalm 86:15)

I am favored because I believe the word God has spoken over my life. (Luke 1:45)

I am protected from anything that tries to harm me. (Psalm 32:7)

I am full of strength in all that I do. (Proverbs 31:17, 31:25)

I am incomparable and valuable. (Proverbs 3:15)

I am known by the Creator of all things. (Psalm 139:14)

I am called to do great things! (Mark 16:15)

And the best declaration of all…

I am HIS!

“Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that He has lavished on us! He has called us and made us His very own beloved children.” 1 John 3:1

You are a daughter and princess of the King above all kings. Step out into this world wearing your crown with pride, with joy, with excitement, and with love. I promise, He will make you shine so bright!

Xoxo,

Sarah
